Bank banyak tapi semua pergi makan. Nak makan sampai dinner ke? Berpada-pada la weh. Yg muka mamak sorang tu, masuk jalan lenggang, macam takde kerja nak buat. Gaji masuk kerja tak jalan. Fikir sikit orang, orang lain pun ada kerja juga nak buat. Sadis!

My problem is with OCBC Call Centre. I had my business debit card barred for online transactions while i was performing a purchase. I called their call centre and was told they are closed for business related matters. Shaking my head. We the business run 24 hour business and need to use the Debit Card to pay for online advertisement. We can't wait for Monday to come. The purchases are time sensitive. So OCBC, please, run your call centre for Business clients specifically for Credit Card or Debit Card on weekends too. We lost some very important deals because your Call Centre for Business Cards we closed.

I used to be an ocbc premier customer. On September 24, 2024, a U.S. dollar transfer between local banks in Malaysia was completed through OCBC Bank Kuala Lumpur Branch. During the remittance process, I chose to bear all costs and paid the transfer fee of MYR 120 (including MYR 40 and MYR 80) that was clearly informed by the bank. However, it was later discovered that an additional US$8 was deducted from the transaction (the bank confirmed that the amount received was missing US$8). This fee was not informed in advance, nor was it included in the charge column signed at the time of the transaction. Additionally, I have been asked to sign with the charge column blank when making a transaction, which raises your questions about bank transparency and reasonableness of fees.
After communicating with OCBC Bank Kuala Lumpur Branch, the other party was unable to provide the specific basis for the charges of MYR 40 and MYR 80, nor could it reasonably explain the source of the additional deduction of USD 8. The opacity of this fee standard and the lack of explanations,

An objective evaluation of OCBC Bank’s conduct:
Lack of transparency: When handling this transaction, OCBC Bank failed to clearly inform the fee details in advance and required customers to sign when the fee column was blank, which showed a lack of transparency in the transaction fee process.
Insufficient protection of customer rights: I chose to bear all the fees, but in the end additional fees were deducted. This shows that the bank failed to ensure that the customer's choice was fully implemented, which affected my legitimate rights and interests.
Insufficient communication: In subsequent inquiries about fees, OCBC Bank failed to provide detailed explanations and basis, indicating problems with internal information transmission or system processing. This not only damages the trust of customers, but also affects the service image of the bank.
Potential compliance risks: The bank requires customers to sign when the charge column is blank, and additional unexplained charges appear subsequently, which may be inconsistent with Malaysia's "Financial Services Act 2020" and the principle of "fair treatment of financial consumers". There are potential compliance risks.

Recommendation: OCBC Bank should provide clear fee instructions to customers before transactions and avoid requiring customers to sign documents with incomplete information. At the same time, internal process management and customer service should be strengthened, provide timely and transparent explanations to customer questions, ensure that charging behavior complies with relevant laws and regulations, and avoid damaging the bank's reputation and customer trust.
Let me serve as a warning based on the fact that my interests have been damaged! The relevant services have been canceled at present.

Worst bank ever, ask me to write authorize letter will sufficient enough to open back my company dormant account on the 1st visit.

Then the 2nd visit ask me for another documentation instead, also keep tell me cant call my boss for verification due that his on a meeting hence
cant do anything.

Firstly, tell me the full procedure next time. So i can schedule properly

Was here at Jalan Tun Perak branch to open a new saving account for my new job salary banking purposes and I was being asked not only to show my Letter of Employment but to email to 1 of the officer Ms.Hui Yee Ting which I think this is absolutely ridiculous as that's totally against my privacy! This is definitely not my first time opening a new bank account but never did RHB or PUBLIC BANK asked for such documents! I always provide only Employer's Company name, address and contact only which should be sufficient.

I'm not comfortable with this procedure at all and Ms.Hui Yee Teng, you'll be totally responsible if there's any unnecessary disclosure leaked regarding my Letter of Employment!
