I've been really disappointed with the service at HSBC MUAR. The process of withdrawing and closing account was incredibly frustrating. We have to wait for over an hour just to get these basic tasks done. I wish I could give zero stars for their service.

Received a call on 8 Feb 2024 from HSBC KL for my dad and I to go HSBC to update details with the instruction given to bring along IC.

Went to the Muar branch on 14 Feb 2024 and got our queue number on 212pm and waited till almost 3pm for our number to be called and that is with 5 or 6 people missing their queue.

Many staffs walking around the ground level but only 2 counters are opened and 1 counter calling for queue number after sitting there for so long. Each customer who got called seated at least 20 mins in the counter. Call it efficiency?

Seated down and my dad was asked to declare annual income which we came unprepared. The lady was being very impatient when my dad told him he doesn’t know. She then made a call to HQ while making us wait there and out of nowhere told us we can leave while she was on the phone.

Appreciate if HSBC can make customers avoid making unnecessary trip to the bank just to wait and have the IC and thumb print scanned. All these should be make possible via the app. If HSBC is unable to make things possible via the app, at least open more counters and shorten the waiting time. And please improve on your service. While you try to make your queue system to look very high tech by scanning QR code etc, it is very not user friendly for old people.

As usual, HSBC offers the most hi-tech self-service machines for her customers. Located at the T-junction, parking may be a problem during peak hour. You need to make sure you're on the right lane or otherwise, just park at the hotel dock bay for a while.

Open 24-7. No hush.

I visited the center trying to get my banking details which finally done but with lots of hassle and almost no assistance for a premier customer holder .. not sure what is premier manager is doing there but she is not friendly at all.. no word of greetings, no respects and certainly no actions
